Fishing options in Puerto Vallarta

I'm heading to Puerto Vallarta soon and I'm really excited to try some fishing. I've only fished in lakes up north, so this will be a new experience for me. Does anyone have any recommendations for trustworthy local fishing guides or trips? Thanks!

Wow Puerto Vallarta, beautiful place. Ocean fishing, then a few reliable local charters are Viking Fishing, Itzu Sport Fishing, Marla's Sportfishing, Fishing Rebels and Vikingo Charters. Most offer half or full-day trips and include gear and filleting. Book ahead, especially in peak season to lock in your spot.

A lot of those big name charters in Puerto Vallarta are overpriced tourist traps, if you want an authentic trip, you're usually better off booking with smaller local captains right at the marina
